That basically summarizes my blog neatly in no less than 5 words. But I have never liked short explanations.
I’m British, having lived in the North of England for 95% of my life. The name ‘Catalina’ is derived from the other 5% of my life I spent in Spain. Despite being too young to remember anything about it, I still resent my parents for moving back to Britain regardless.
I’m a student, studying a [apparently unusual] variety of subjects that even my maths teacher raised an eyebrow when he heard them. Little did he know that my options were the result of constant self debate, self doubt and plain indecisiveness. Now I can’t think of anything else I’d rather do.
I’ve always been interested in writing and ‘getting out there’ just for the fun and adrenaline, but have always pulled myself back due to lack of self confidence and belief. I’m changing that now.The ending months of 2014 has seen me drastically change both mentally and physically, and this blog is a way for me to be accountable to this change. Throughout the months, this blog will probably be taken in multiple directions as a consequence of my inability to be decisive and desire to always be doing different things and because quite frankly, life is unexpected and does change.
Casual rants loosely based around current [political] affairs or languages. I write when I want to and when I have something write about. I write for myself: to let out frustrations [read: rant], to educate myself [and perhaps others], to entertain, and perhaps to prove [to myself] I actually do something productive with my time. Attempting [and failing] to be somewhat consistent with postings.
